The southern Costa Blanca starts around Alicante, a bustling university town between mountains and sea with countless cozy restaurants and shops, and extends to the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada. Even further south is the equally beautiful Costa Cálida. Thanks to the fairly flat landscape and the particularly pleasant climate, these areas are wonderful for cycling, walking and relaxing in general; they are rightfully two of the best (water) sports and recreation areas in Spain.
Many Western Europeans now own a home on our costas. The reason for that is simple. The combination of good weather, sun, sea, good accessibility, a high level of facilities and the absence of polluting, heavy industry all year round make for a very tasty cocktail. The many salt lakes in the region add an extra positive dimension to this. People with asthma and / or skin and joint disorders brighten noticeably thanks to the micro climate, which the salt lakes help to create. All this makes our costas so popular and therefore a good investment.
