The white sandy beach of the same name, Mil Palmeras, is the southernmost in a series of six beaches in the borough of Orihuela-Costa and is bordered on the north by Campoamor beach and on the south by Torre De La Horadada beach. It has a length of 346 meters and a width of 45 meters. There are also a lifeguard on the beach, ramps to the beach, showers, a play area and special access for the disabled. Living climate
Due to the absence of heavy industry and the presence of large salinas (salt lakes) in the area, the air in the region is known as very clean. The area is therefore popular with the elderly and the sick with all kinds of chronic health problems. It is said that the environment promotes health because of the relatively high concentrations of iodine in the air due to the presence of salinas. In the area are many clinics for heart disease, rheumatism and skin conditions.
