Torre Pacheco is the town where every year at the end of September, lovers of classic cars and all things antique come together for the annual fair. For more than twenty years, visitors have been coming from far and wide to enjoy this three-day dive into the past. More than 200 classic and antique vehicles await car enthusiasts. In addition to cars, there are also motorcycles, trucks and tractors to admire. The exhibition of retro vehicles is framed by the many stands where interested parties can buy spare parts and accessories. In recent years, this part of the double fair has been expanded with a section where models of old train carriages and locomotives are displayed.
The antique fair has now been expanded to become the most important part of the event. More than a hundred stands with sellers from Spain, England, France and the Netherlands offer their goods there. The diversity of the offer is enormous. From old furniture to works of art. From coins, old toys and gramophones to typewriters and everyday goods from the distant past. The golden rule is that all the offer is at least forty years old. Where applicable, sellers must be able to provide a certificate of authenticity. To make it all the more attractive, there are numerous workshops where you can learn how to restore items.
The central location of the large exhibition centre, halfway between Murcia airport and the Costa Calida coast, is also the reason why there are many other major events held there every year. These include horse and dog show fairs, a tourist promotion fair and music performances.
