The La Zenia Boulevard shopping center on the Orihuela Costa is as relentless as it is creative to deal with old notions of shopping. The characterless rows of shops in traditional centers have been replaced in La Zenia by shops in pleasantly winding streets or draped around a square with attractive Mediterranean plants. This difference between cold and cozy is not only reflected in the progressive design of the shopping area. The current ideas about the function of a shopping center have also been thrown overboard in the design phase as outdated and old-fashioned.

Of course La Zenia Boulevard is first and foremost a place where visitors can buy the most diverse items. That is and remains the main reason for existence for any shopping center. The approximately 150 shops, on an area of 161,000 m², more than meet this primary need. But when planning the 'Boulevard' opened in 2012, a formula was chosen in which shopping goes hand in hand with entertainment, creativity, a very child-friendly attitude and an above-average range of food and beverage outlets. Thanks to the wide layout of the streets, the center is also very accessible for wheelchair users. Three strategically placed lifts prove that the interests of the disabled have also been considered.

It is well known that shopping is not considered a favorite activity by everyone. Perhaps that is why one of the most beautiful compliments imaginable for La Zenia Boulevard is that the public so often describes their visit as a pleasant experience for the whole family. And the center is certainly child-friendly. On the ground floor there are several places where children can enjoy themselves. There is even a 'playground' available on the first floor. This layer of the center also has a large number of international restaurants.

In the main shopping area on the ground floor, there are countless places where the less shopping enthusiast can rest on a bench or enjoy a snack on one of the terraces. With a capacity of 5,000 free parking spaces in the underground car park, the center is easily accessible.

La Zenia Boulevard has also built up a reputation for the special activities that are regularly held in the center, such as music performances, dance, a Halloween party and many activities for children.

After its opening in 2012, the 'Boulevard' was the largest shopping center in the province of Alicante. Its strategic location in the heart of the Orihuela Costa, with many international potential clients in the immediate vicinity and just ten minutes' drive from Torrevieja, has certainly contributed to its rapid success.
