For five days in May, Torrevieja is in the Sevillian spheres every year. I thought it would be a good idea to imagine myself close to home in an Andalusian environment. A stone's throw from the sea, it is indeed difficult not to get carried away in this colorful display of fiery flamenco shows, dance parties and emotional singing. In about thirty large tents, it is a party for five days. Women in beautiful flamenco dresses and men in their best Seville costumes parade from tent to tent to dance and enjoy the typical Sevillan tapas. The authentic atmosphere is also recreated with parades of Andalusian horses. Sometimes with, sometimes without a carriage. But in any case always with the riders in appropriate clothing.
Music and dance shows and competitions are held every evening on a large stage. Local groups as well as internationally renowned flamenco artists then increase the revelry. A wonderful burst of Spanish folklore by the sea.
